Code White Training Online
What is Code White?
In general, Code White training assists hospital and healthcare staff in interacting with an actual or potentially violent or out-of-control person.
Course Access Time
You will have full access to this course for 6 weeks from the date of registration
A 1-time free extension of 3 weeks is available (if needed).
An additional extension of 2 weeks is available at $75.
Who should take Code White Training?
All clinical and non-clinical staff (including Security Guards) who work at a healthcare facility.
This online course has been prepared by an Ontario-based Subject Matter Expert.
- Assistance is available via email.
- The course takes approximately 8 hours to complete.
- There is no deadline for completion.
- A Certificate will be issued upon passing the online final test.
This course is only applicable to Ontario and is strongly suggested for any private security guards who wish to work as hospital security or other healthcare facilities.

Is this “Code White” training for the purposes of working in a hospital?
What is a “code white?”
The term is simply a code to tell hospital employees that there is violence or a potential for violence within the hospital or facility.
Do security guards need this additional training to be deployed to a hospital? Is it mandatory?
Why do security guards need this training?
What is included in “restraint” training?
What is NVCI or CPI? Don’t I need to take this too?
We only provide Canadian content vetted through Canadian courts for the academic portion. Regards to physical skills, Canadian and Ontario due diligence and “least restraint” best practices dictate specific techniques and skill sets that are acceptable and some that are not. Coroner’s inquest recommendations are also taken into account and followed in our programs.
