Course Access Time
You will have full access to this course for 6 weeks from the date of registration.
A 1-time free extension of 3 weeks is available (if needed).
An additional extension of 2 weeks is available at $75.

(Liquor License and Control Act, 2019), T.P.A. (Trespass to Property Act, R.S.O. 1990), and P.S.I.S.A. (Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005).

The course also covers the use of force, as outlined within the LLCA, Criminal Code and TPA, so you can handle difficult situations with ease.

Ontario Security Guard License Requirements
All persons working as doormen or bouncers MUST hold a valid Ontario security guard license.
- be over 18 years old
- be eligible to work in Canada
- be fluent in English
- possess a clean criminal record, according to the Clean Criminal Record regulation (note: not all criminal charges or convictions will prevent a person from obtaining a security guard licence – see below for more information on the Clean Criminal Record regulation)
- have no outstanding criminal charges
- not be the subject of a criminal investigation
All security guards must meet a specific English fluency standard. This is a level 5 benchmark according to the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks
This online security guard training course consists of eleven (11) modules. Students must complete all modules, taking a minimum total of 40 hrs and then write the online Provincial exam under the supervision of a proctor with 62% or above to receive provincial certification and apply for a Security Guard License in Ontario.
Once you have done your required 40 hrs you will be emailed your Training Certificate and instructions to book your Online Exam. The online exam is paid separately to the exam provider.
Ontario Bouncer (Doorman) Course Syllabus
This is a 100% online course that will take you approximately 20 hours to complete.
A printable completion certificate is available at the end of the course suitable for framing once you have successfully completed the course and have submitted all of your assignments and the online quizzes.
